Monodox may cause sun-sensitivity so be sure to use sunscreen and avoid tanning beds while you’re on the medication.
Take with food to prevent stomach upset
If you take antacids (Ca, Mg, Al) or minerals (Fe), make sure to take them 2 hrs before or 4 hrs after your Monodox.
May decrease effectiveness of OC. Use additional form of birth control during and 1 week following last dose.

DO NOT USE if allergic to penicillin.

Do not swallow doses alongside an antacid containing Al or Mg. (They can be separated by a few minutes, this literally means do not take it at the same time. No duration on separation from the manufacturer.)
Take with food to prevent stomach upset.
(SIDE NOTE: Although you only take meds for 5 days, the drug works for 10, therefore if patient doesn’t feel much better by the end of the dosing (at the end of the 5th day), they should wait the 10 day period before consulting a physician.)
