Pulmonic Regurgitation Flashcards

Q
Hemodynamics in PR
A
Ventricularization of the PA pressure
-PA pressure loses its dicrotic notch, is horizontal or upsloping in diastole, and is superimposed on RV pressure throughout most of diastole
Pulmonic insufficiency leads to an *8earlier diastolic equalization**, that is, in early or mid diastole
In contrast
Diastolic PA pressure and RV pressure may equalize in end diastole in constrictive pericarditis, pulmonic stenosis, or severe RV failure
