A pt is massively bleeding in 1 lung

mgmt for unilateral pulmonary hemorrhage

place the pt in lateral decubitus with the NORMAL LUNG UP

(you want gravity to pool blood from the bad lung ..and preserve blood from spilling over into nml lung)

“Bleed Down, Normal Up”
