- Palmer lateral

through C1 TVP
What is the distance for PUC lateral?
72”
What is the collimation for PUC lateral?
collimate out eyes laterally but don’t clip spinouses
What are the breathing instructions for PUC lateral?
exhale and hold
How do you set up a PUC AP cervical?
same as routine AP cervical
use 8x10 film
What is the AP cervical done in a PUC series?
- competes series
- checks for pathology
Where should the ID blocker be placed in a PUC APOM?
down
What is the position of the bucky in a PUC APOM?
angled so that it touches the back of the patient’s head and shoulders
What should the CR line up with in a PUC APOM?
bottom of the front teeth to the tip of the mastoid
What is the tube tilt for a PUC APOM?
5-15 degree cephalic
What is the rational for the bucky tilt?
- visualize C1 while keeping the body neutral
- minimize/decrease magnification distortion
How do you figure out the tube tilt for the PUC nasium view?
from the PUC lateral
