Are you ready to discover what makes Vancouver a unique city? My name is Antonio Sotomayor and I founded Odyssey Travel, a travel agency. Today I am going to present you with a vacation trip to Vancouver. This is a plan for an exciting trip, and we offer you to do it in summer or winter, as you prefer.

It is a city located on the west coast of Canada, especially in British Columbia. There live 675.000 people and 115 km2 of beautiful land. Vancouver has a strategic location due to its exit to the Pacific Ocean, which converts this city into an important commercial center.

This city was founded in 1866 by George Vancouver.

The city grew a lot between 1880 and 1910 because of the gold fever and the construction of the railroad. WWI delay the economy, but after the war, the progress continued. Then, the city held up pretty well during the great depression and WWII ended unemployment.

It has a great variety of cultures because Vancouver has a favorable immigration policy, and people from all around the world come to work, study, and do business.

The city has a temperate oceanic climate. Winters are cold with occasional snowfall. Summers are warm and dry. It also rains a lot, especially in winter.

There are a lot of landmarks in Vancouver, one of them is a 140 meters bridge, the Capilano Suspension Bridge. This bridge offers incredible views of the Capilano river, dense forests, and an incredible waterfall.

There are a lot of tourist activities too, you can tour the city on a bicycle. There is a lot of guided tour at points of interest, where you can learn about the history of Vancouver.

The local food is diverse, due to all the different cultures of the city, but there is a traditional plate, the “salmon candy”, it’s cured and smoked salmon with syrup.

We have two options for the 14-day vacation package. In summer we offer you air tickets and accommodation at Pinnacle Hotel Harbourfront with an outdoor pool, gym, spa, restaurant, and bar. This package cost $4000. And in winter we have airplane tickets and accommodation at the Sandman Hotel Vancouver City Centre. The hotel has comfortable and modern rooms and it’s in the center of the city. This package cost $8000.

In conclusion, I present you with a vacation to Vancouver, showing you its history, culture, and main activities.
