  1. planned - the PR function should be aware of all the external and internal factors that could affect communication and then plan the communication activities to generate positive change
  2. deliberate - communication w stakeholders does not happen deliberately
  3. a management function - it should be part of a business’s strategic planning because it is a tool that can assist management w problem-solving.
  4. involve two-way communication - itis important that the business listens to stakeholders concerns or demands
  5. promote performance - ensures the business policy is properly communicated and understood by everybody.
  6. be in the interest of the public - ensures stakeholders understand that business activities are of mutual benefit

-use newsletters or emails and etc to inform employees about plans and expectations
-reward employees and celebrate good suggestions and work done
