What are the associated factors of deprivation

A

Artefact = Observed association, not genuine
Social selection = health determines socio-economic status
Behavioural/cultural =People in deprived areas tend to be more deprived
Psychosocial = Stress creates biological changes in body
Material = poor housing etc.

NB: Artefacts + Social selection play little difference
