Lesser palatine nerve
Innervates mucous membrane of superior, middle and inferior conchae, and lining of posterior ethmoidal air cells
Posterior nasal nerves
Innervate mucous membrane of nasopharynx
Pharyngeal nerve
Innervates nasal septum and anterior hard palate
Nasopalatine nerve
Innervates skin of the side of the cheek
Zygomaticofacial nerve
Innervates skin of the side of the face
Zygomaticotemporal nerve
Innervates maxillary molars except mesiobuccal root of first molar and lining of maxillary sinus
Posterior superior alveolar nerve
Innervates:
- Two premolars
- Mesiobuccal root of first molar
- Maxillary sinus
Middle superior alveolar nerve
Innervates:
- Incisors, canines, and surrounding gingiva
- Maxillary sinus
Anterior superior alveolar nerve
Innervates skin and conjunctiva of lower eyelid
Inferior palpebral branches
Innervates skin on side of the nose
External nasal branches
Innervates skin and mucous membrane of upper lip
Superior labial branches
(1) arises within infratemporal fossa
(2) supplies blood to posterior maxillary teeth
Posterior superior alveolar artery
(1) May arise within infratemporal fossa
(2) Courses into infraorbital groove
(3) Supplies blood to midface
(4) Middle and anterior superior alveolar supply blood to remainder of maxillary
teeth
