Positive Psychosis symptoms
A
-New experiences: hallucinations, delusions, disorganized speech or behavior.

Negative Psychosis symptoms
A
-Decrease or loss of normal functions: Monotone voice, lack of gestures, inability to feel pleasure, little display of emotions, lowered motivation, lack of interest in other people

Prodrome Phase, Acute Phase, Recovery.

Psychosis Definition
A
People have a range of conditions that affect their mind and cause some loss of contact with reality

Describe Prodrome Phase
A
- Can’t be diagnosed until psychosis symptoms have been diagnosed
- Changes in feelings and perception
- Lights get brighter, sounds get louder

Describe Acute Phase
A
- Psychotic symptoms like hallucinations or delusions emerge and are most noticeable
- Treatment should start ASAP

Describe Recovery
A
- Treatment begins and within weeks or months, symptoms detensify or disappear completely
- Coping with daily life is easier and the majority of people recover from their first episode
