- between episodes of psychosis marked by flat affect, social withdrawn

Positive: (gained)
- hallucinations
- delusions
- disordered thoughts
- bizarre behaviour
Negative: (take away, deficit)
- anhedonia (no longer interested in actives they used to enjoy)
- blunted emoptions

- apathy

typical vs atypical antipsychotics

Typical: - chlorpromazine, haloperidol side effects: - decrease positive symptoms - worsening negative - extrapyramidal disorders (parkins) - sexual dysfunction
Atypical: - clozapine, risperidone, olanzeapine Side effects: - decrease negative symptoms - decrease extrapyramidal - improve cognition - weight gain - sedation
