- excessive anxiety or worry occurring more days than not for 6mths or more. Difficult to control this worry, with 3 or more symptoms:
- Fatugue
- Restlessness
- Irritability
- Sleep disturbance

- SSRI and Benzos
A
benzos
- rapid onset but risk of dependance
- suppress the CNS and enhance effects of GABA
- GABA makes neurones less responsive to excitatory neurotransmitters and therefore reduces symptoms of anxiety
- cause drowsiness
