Psychological factors affecting other medical condition
A type of somatic symptom disorder that is seen when when a general medical condition is adversely affected by psychological or behavioral factors; the factors may precipitate or exacerbate the medical condition, interfere with treatment, or contribute to morbidity, etc.
Factitious disorder
mental disorder in which a person acts as if he or she has a physical or mental illness when, in fact, he or she has consciously created the symptoms, Patients adopting physical symptoms for unconscious internal gain (patient desires to take on role of being sick but not external financial or legal benefit like with malingering)
