psychology is the scientific study of behaviour and mental processes.

mental process is an experience that occurs within an individual, that cannot be directly observed.
eg: sensations, feelings.
define behaviour, include examples.
behaviour is an observable action made by a living thing. eg: sneezing, watching tv, blinking.
what is a psychaiatrist?
medical doctors that can diagnose, treat and prevent mental disorders.
what is a psychologist?
health professionals that are trained in human behaviour. they study the brain, and cannot prescribe medicine.
difference between psychologist and psychiatrist?
a psychiatrist is trained as a medical doctor and can prescribe medication, where a psychologist cannot.

define biology.
the study of life and living organisms.
