Illusion
The term here does not mean a false or mistaken belief but one that is based on fulfilment. An illusion is a belief derived from human wishes.
Wish fulfilment
The secret hope of our greatest longings satisfied.
Neurosis
A psychological disorder. In Freudian psychology an imbalance of the forces of the id ego and superego.
Collective Neurosis.
A neurotic illness that afflicts all people.
Unconscious mind.
Contains basic drives such as breathing and forgotten memories. The conscious mind contains our present thoughts and accessible memories.
Psyche
Mind. Includes all the conscious and unconscious components of the mind.
Libido
The psyches drive to achieve satisfaction. It includes the sexual drive.
Repression
In Freudian psychology unwanted or taboo thoughts desires, fears and anxieties that get banished into the unconscious.
Animism
The belief that natural phenomena such as animals, rocks, trees, thunder or celestial bodies have life and divinity
Ambivalence
Simutaneously experiencing opposing or conflicting emotions, attitudes, ideas or wishes toward a person or situation.
Sublimation.
The process by which the sexual instinct is redirected into other activities culture and art.
Psychic energy
Or psychological energy is an energy by which the work of the personality performed.
Personal Unconscious
Contains the forgotten memories of the individual.
Collective unconscious
In Jungian psychology it refers to that part of a person unconscious that is common to all human beings.
Archetypes
Can be seen as image generators. They are distant from the actual images they generate.
