Generalized Anxiety Disorder
Excessive anxiety and worry that occurs more days than not for 6 months.
Plus 3 more sxs: Easily fatigued, dec sleep, akathisia/irritability ,muscle tension, concentration probe
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
Recurrent and persistent thoughts, impulses, or images that are experienced, at some time during the disturbance, as intrusive and inappropriate, and cause marked anxiety or distress
The thoughts, impulses, or images are not simply excessive worries about real-life problems
The person attempts to ignore or suppress such thoughts, impulses, or images, or to neutralize them with some other thought or action
The person recognizes that the obsessional thoughts, impulses, or images are a product of his or her own mind (not imposed from without as in thought insertion).
Panic Disorder
Recurrent unexpected Panic Attacks followed by at least 1 month of persistent concern about having another panic attack
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
A pathological anxiety that usually occurs after an individual experiences or witnesses severe trauma that constitutes a threat to the physical integrity or life of the individual or of another person.
- Directly experiencing the traumatic event(s)
- Witnessing, in person, the event(s) as it occurred to others
- Learning that the traumatic event(s) occurred to a close family member or friend
- Experiencing repeated or extreme exposure to aversive details of the traumatic event(s); this does not apply to exposure through media such as television, movies, or pictures
