clinical depression
symptoms: persistent sadness, low mood, loss of interest in pleasure in activities, fatigue, changes in appetite or sleep

generalized anxiety disorder (GAD)
symptoms: excessive worry or fear, restlessness or feeling on edge, muscle tension, irritability, sleep disturbances
yogic interventions: langhana breath, nadi shodhana, finger tracing, progressive muscle relaxation, viniyoga, pada bhanda, balancing practices
bipolar disorder
symptoms: mood swings that include emotional highs and lows, impulsivity during manic phases, periods of normal mood in between episodes

schizophrenia
symptoms: delusions, hallucinations, disorganized thinking and speech
yogic interventions: gentle breath work, focused attention meditation, diaphragmatic breath work,
obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD)
symptoms: repeated persistent, and unwanted thoughts and urges; repetitive behaviors or mental acts to reduce anxiety

post traumatic stress disorder
symptoms: flashbacks of trauma, avoidance of reminders of trauma
yogic interventions: grounding asana, gentle breath work, iRest, trauma sensitive mindfulness practices
disordered eating
types: anorexia, bulimia, binge-eating disorder
yogic interventions:
restorative yoga, joint freeing series, compassionate self forgiveness
