Sigmund Freud- what is his theory of criminality?
He thinks that our minds are in an unconscious region similar to an iceberg where only the tip can be seen and that our unconscious mind that controls our behaviour.
Sigmundi Freud- what are the three types of personalities?
Id- it controls our selfish and animalistic urges
Ego- which seeks rational and sensible control (mediates between id and superego)
SuperEgo- being our moral conscious
What is classified as a healthy person with the three personalities
You would need a balance with the three to be classified as a health person
John Bowlby- what type of research did he do to test out Sigmundi Freud theory?
He studied 44 juvenile delinquents and comparing them with non-criminal disturbed juveniles. 39% had experienced separation from thier mothers for six months or more during the first five years of thier life.
