What is conversion disorder?
Sudden onset of sensory or motor deficits without identifiable physical cause. La belle indifference is common.

Combinations of multiple physical symptoms, usually involving pain and sexual, GI, or pseudoneurological symptoms.

Pain that is unrelieved by analgesia and is affected by psychological status.

What is malingering?
Intentionally producing the signs/symptoms of a mental disorder for secondary gain i.e. to avoid work or incarceration.
What is body integrity disorder?
Feeling alienated from part of the body and wanting it amputated.
What are the types of dissociative amnesia?
Localized: inability to recall event for a few hours or days
Selective: inability to recall some aspects of a traumatic event
Generalized: inability to recall any history, including identity
Systematized: Inability to recall a specific category of information or a specific person or event
Continuous: Inability to recall events after a specific time until the present
What are the types of complicated grief?
Distorted grief: severe despair, inability to function, exaggerated expressions (anger, sadness, guilt) and self-blame
Prolonged grief: persists for years with vacillation between anger and denial
Inhibited/delayed grief: when a person is not able to get past the denial stage
Anticipatory grief: grieving before the loss
