Describe how psoriasis develops
A
Hyperproliferation of epidermal keratinocytes combined with inflammation of the epidermis and dermis.

What would you see in patients with psoriasis?
A
Red, scaly patches of skin, Well defined edges. Often symmetrical, bilateral. Round or oval plaques usually on elbows, knees, scalp, lower back and umbilicus
