What determines a stabilized approach?
“1000 A LOT”
- 1000 fpm or less by 1000 AFE
- At speed no less than VREF to VREF + 10 kts
- Landing Configuration (Approved)
- On proper flight path
- Trimmed
Required Company Reports
- ETA differs more than 15 minutes
- Proceeding to or verifying alternate
- Weather Conditions affecting Safety:
- Severe icing
- Severe turbulence
- Winds or ops affecting cruise performance

What’s a low-time FO?
Less than 100 hours in type (including IOE) and must notify Captain upon reporting.
What can’t a low-time FO do?
Takeoffs (through cleanup) and approaches (from 3000 AGL & below) when:
- Runway:
- is contaminated
- RVR is 4000 or less
- braking action less than “Good”
- crosswind component >15 kts
- Operating at airport with 3/4 SM or less
- Operating at Special Qual Airport
- Any reported windshear
- Other circumstances as determined by Captain as non-normal
What must be confirmed during a QRC or QRH event?
- Thrust Levers
- Engine Fire Push Switchlights
- Generator Switches
- Fuel Boost Pump Switchlights
- All other guarded Switchlights
Minimum contingency fuel?
700: 937 lbs
900: 1082 lbs
Minimum reserve fuel?
700: 2100 lbs
900: 2200 lbs
What are the five idle settings programmed by FADEC?
- Flight Idle
- Approach Idle
- Landing Idle
- Reverse Idle
- Ground Idle
What does the microprocessor (CPAM) do?
- Generate EICAS indications
- Caution @ 8,500
- Warning @ 10,000
- DIFF PRESS warning @ 8.6 PSI
- SEAT BELT @ 10,000 in “AUTO”
- Drops PAX masks above 14,000
- Limit Cabin Pressure to 14,500 +-500
What will the ADG power?

When will the digital fuel quantity readout turn amber?
Total fuel quantity is less than 1200 lbs
OR
Fuel imbalance is over 800 lbs
When does Hydraulic Pressure and Temperature turn amber?
Pressure: <1800 PSI
Temperature: At or above 96*C
What is needed for T/O CONFIG OK?
On ground :
1. Both engines running
2. TRs not deployed
3. AP off
4. Flaps and Slats in TO Config
5. Parking Brake not set
6. Aileron Trim set <1*
7. Rudder Trim set <1*
