DRSABCD
danger response Send for help Airways breathing CPR defibrillation
Danger
look for any potential hazards and remove them unless it could put yourself or bystanders into danger
response
approach the casualty to determine weather conscious or unconscious COWS
send for help
do not leave the casualty to call for emergency, get a bystander if possible
Airways
make sure airways are clear.
if foreign object roll them into the recovery position, use a pistol grip and remove object
breathing (3 parts)
look- falling of chest
listen- place ear next to casualty mouth
feel- hand on chest or head next to casualties mouth
should breathe 2 times in 10 seconds if so recovery position or keep following DRSABCD
CPR (2)
cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation
each compression 1/3 depth of chest cavity. 30 compressions to 2 breaths
Defibrillation
continue car till defibrillator arrives. once arrives follow prompts, do until 000 arrives

CPR- key details (4)
- must be done centre of chest, line between armpits.
- use heel of hand in centre of chest and other hand in comfortable position (interlocked fingers, around wrist etc.)
- keep arms straight while compressing
- tilt their head back when doing the 2 long, steady breaths

sprains, strains, dislocations.
