Personal Pronouns
Personal pronouns refer to people or things (subjects and objects).
Reflexive Pronouns
These reflect back to the noun, they usually end in self or selves.
Jenny (she) sees herself as a famous singer.
George (he) cut himself with the sharp knife.
The children (they) enjoyed themselves on the roller coaster ride.
Interrogative Pronouns
These pronouns interrogate or ask questions:
Who knocked on the door?
Whose pen is lying on the floor?
To whom must I address the letter?
What are you reading?
Which pair of shoes are you wearing to the party?
Demonstrative Pronouns
These point out a specific person or thing.
This is not the way that you should behave.
That has to go!
These look revolting!
(note: the demonstrative pronoun is not followed by a noun, it stands alone!)
