Equal pay act 1970

A

This law protects staff as men and women should be payed equal amounts if the job they are doing is the same and same hours. So if someone is getting payed less than someone else who is of opposite sex they are entitled to have an outrage about not being payed the same

This law protects people into not being tricked into working long hours for little money. If a schoolboy comes out of school and works at McDonald’s if he was payed less than minimum wage that is an outrage. 25 and over-£7.50 21 to 24-£7.05 18 to 20-£5.60 Under 18-£4.05 Apprentice- £3.50
