Q

Ibrahim

A

> He is viewed as the greatest prophet before Isa
He had two sons, Ishmael and Ishaq. Ishmael is more important to muslims as he is the prophet of the Arabs
He had an inner knowledge that there was only one God
On hajj, Muslims remember Hajar (mother of Ishmael) and her wonders through the desert to find water
It is believed that he and Ishmael rebuilt the kabah after many years.

Q

Isa

A

> Apart from Muhammad, Isa and his mother Maryum are the most prominent figures in the Quran.
He was given the Injil (gospels) and he performed Miracles
Muslims deny that Jesus is God (this obstructs tawhid)
The Quran teaches that he did not die on the cross as Allah wouldn’t let evil men triumph over his prophet
Instead, Isa was taken up to heaven and will reappear when we are all judged

He marched on Makkah with an army of 10,000, and with little bloodshed (lesser jihad)
