Taking and carrying away of another’s personal property by fraud or misrepresentation with the intent to deprive the owner thereof (by promise he knows is fake)
1) But if D tricked into giving up TITLE to property, the crime is false pretenses
Embezzlement
1) The fraudulent

4) By a person in lawful possession of that property
(No carrying away of personal benefit of the embezzler is necessary)
False Pretenses
1) Obtaining title
2) To personal property of another
3) By an intentional false statement
4) With intent to defraud the other
Robbery
Larceny + Assault
1) All elements of larceny + Taking from the other’s person or presence
2) by means of physical harm to, or by putting in fear by threats of imminent harm against the safety of, a human being
Extortion (Blackmail)
1) Corrupt collection of an unlawful fee
2) by an officer under color of office
Differences between extortion and robbery (4)
1) D does not have to have taken anything from the person or presence of his victim
2) Threats can be of future rather than imminent harm
3) Threatened harm does not have to be a person
4) The threat does not have to be physical harm
