What is Legionnaires Disease?
A pneumonia-like illness caused by Legionella bacteria which can be fatal. It is spread by infection from breathing in droplets contaminated by the bacteria.
When does a Landlord need a Legionella test?
Generally in a block of flats unless each flat has its own self-contained hot and cold water systems.
How often should a water system be emptied if a property is vacant?
Once every week, or have the whole system drained and kept drained long-term.
