  1. Muzzled press led to bland journalism, decreasing newspaper sales by 10%
  2. It was unsuccessful in increasing support for Nazis as less people were reading newspapers. Therefore, the Nazi ideologies weren’t spreading as quickly and this could have resulted in a decline of support for them.
