PROKARYOTIC CELL VS EUKARYOTIC CELL Flashcards
Prokaryotic (basic)
Pro means primitive (not developed).
Nucleus,nuclear envelope/membrane is absent
Membrane bound organelles are absent
In members of kingdom=MONERA(bacteria,BGA,mycoplasm,pplo)
Size is smaller than eukaryotes
Eukaryotic cell= 10-20
Prokaryotic cell= 1-2
Divide more rapidly
Human cell divides in = 24 hrs
E.coli bacteria divides in = 20min
Eukaryotic (basic)
Members of kingdom protista,fungi,plantar,anamilia.
Eu Means true nucleus,
nucleus, nuclear membrane ,nuclear envelope is present.
Membrane bound organelles are present
Eg: nucleus,Endoplasmic reticulum,Golgi complex,Mitochondria,Vacuole,Lysosome,Chloroplast.
Have complex locomotory and cytoskeletal structure
Prokaryotic flagella= flagellimn protein
Eukaryotic flagella= tubulin protein
