Iterative and incremental life cycles
Scope defined early in project, but costs and schedule are iteratively developed. Project moves through iterations of processes to definite product, time and cost.
Kill Point
Opportunities to halt project based on performance in previous phase. Typically Coke at end of project phase and also known as phase gates.
Matrix structure
Org that groups staff by function but openly shares resources in project teams throughout organization. PM’s in matrix structure share power with Functional Manager. Three types-weak, balanced, strong-describe authority of PM.

Works in project for a % of scheduled time. Project team may work on core operations or other projects in addition to current project.
Partnership project team
Through teaming agreements or alliances, project team my be formed from many different Otha for duration of project.
