Iterative process group where intention of project determined and deliverables that are the focus of project.
Product-oriented Processes
Unique to the application area and deliverables that are focus of the project
Project Charter
First project document authorizes project, ID the PM, and creates high-level objectives for the project
Project Communications Management
Knowledge area that carries out directions of communication management plan
Project Cost Management
Project management knowledge area that defines cost estimating, cost budgeting, and cost control
Project Human Resources Management
Knowledge area that creates the human resource plan, acquires project team, develops project team, manages project team
Project integration management
Knowledge area that coordinates all the effort of project initiation, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, and closing
Project Procurement Management
Knowledge area that plans what needs to be procured, procures the needs, administers the procurement process, and closes procurement according to project terms and procurement management plan.
Project quality management
Knowledge area that coordinates quality planning, quality assurance and quality control project.
Project risk management
Knowledge area that creates risk management plan, perform qualitative and quantitative risk analysis, plans risk responses, and monitors and controls the project risks.
Project Scope Management
Knowledge area responsible for collecting project requirements, define the project scope, creating the WBS, performing scope verification and controlling project scope.
Project Stakeholder Management
Knowledge area responsible the identifying, managing, and controlling the relationship between the project stakeholders, project manager and project team.
Project Time Management
Knowledge area that defines project activities, sequences project work, estimates resources and activity durations, and develops project schedule. Also responsive for control of project schedule.

Closing
