What is integration
“Includes the processes and activities needed to identify, define, combine, unify and coordinate the various processes and project management activities within the PM Process Groups
What is the purpose of the Project Charter
- a document that formally authorizes the existence
of a project and provides the project manager with the authority to apply organizational resources to
project activities. - provides a direct link between the project

Issue Log
This is a log of unforseen challenges that will occur. The log provides a way to track their identification and resolution, actions taken. Also for lessons learned.
Types of knowledge that can be managed.
“explicit” (knowledge that can be readily codified using words, pictures, and numbers) and “tacit” (knowledge that is personal and difficult to express, such as beliefs,
insights, experience, and “know-how”).
Monitor and Control Project Work
process of tracking, reviewing, and reporting the overall progress to meet the performance objectives defined in the project management plan
Perform Integrated Change Control
reviewing all change requests; approving changes
and managing changes to deliverables, project documents, and the project management plan; and
communicating the decisions.
Close Project
finalizing all activities for the project, phase, or contract.
Occurs after deliverables accepted…in fact that’s an input to this process.

Change Process Overview
- Stakeholder identifies need, submits written request to PM
- PM assess, looks for other options, reviews potential impact
- Change and results of step 2 submitted to change control board.
- Approved, rejected, deferred.
- Approved? PM updates documents and manages to new plan
- not approved, go back to step 1
