What is the educational delivery system?
focuses on formal academic process. Found in elementary, prep, secondary, college and university settings. Students of varied backgrounds with course based on growth/development.
What is recreational instruction?
instructional sport delivered outside of academic settings; found in private clubs, YMCA/YWCA’s, military bases, municipal/commercial/industrial rec centers.
What are instructional sport programs referred to as and how long do they run?
lessons, clinics or workshops. Sessions vary from 1-2 hr per week private lessons to 6-8 weeks for large groups.
What is the athletic approach to instructional sport?
focus on margin of excellence, or participants being best they can.
Who would be considered in athletic approach?
Students on varsity teams, industrial sports team, club sport or amateur athletic union teams.
What is the professional approach delivery system?
influencing athletes margin of excellence so that they are successful enough to profit

Lessons
What do lessons consist of?
individual/small groups of private/semi-private sessions.
What is a clinic type of instruction?
allows large groups to learn about sport. participant numbers are based on instructor skill level and resournces available.
How frequent are clinics run?
once or twice a week for about an hour over 4-8 weeks.
