Proficiency Items Flashcards
Crew Incapacitation
(2 IN 2 OUT)
1.Take control “I have control”
2. Press the sidestick PB for 40 seconds if needed
3. keep or engage the onside autopilot
4. perform callouts.
-inform ATC of emergency
-call FA as soon as practicable to contain the incapacitated crew member
- Ask FA to see if there may be a Doctor
-Check if there is a typed pilot on board from the company, any ATP pilot.
-Call FA from the call pb
-Fa should come to the cockpit and then
-secure the crewmember with the shoulder harness
-push the seat completely aft
-recline the seat
-Land at the nearest suitable airport
-If unable to remove the crewmember safely, one FA must remain in the cockpit to take care of and observe the incapacitated Crew member.
-consider using CRM to make your life as easy as possible.
One Engine Inoperative Obstacle Strategy
Severe turbulence
Signs ………………………………….. ON
Speed and thrust…………………… Adjust
Keep AP on
*If excessive thrust variations….. disconnect A/THR
*If the flight crew flies Manually … do not chase ALT
Descent to or below opt FL………Consider
For approach
A/THR…………………………………… ON
*use managed speed.
Stall Recovery
stall indication
Nose down pitch control…………………………..Apply
Bank……………………………………………………..Wings Level
When out of stall
Thrust……………………………………………………Increase smoothy as needed
Speedbrakes………………………………………….Check retracted
Flight path ……………………………………………..Recover smoothly
If in clean configuration and below FL200
Flap 1…………………………………………………….Select
*if a risk of ground contact exists, once clearly out of stall, establish smoothly a positive climb gradient.
Stall Warning at Liftoff
Thrust……………………………………..TOGA
*at same time
Pitch Attitude…………………………….15 deg
Bank………………………………………..Wings Level
Windshear warning (Reactive Windshear)
Before/After V1
At takeoff
Before V1
Reject takeoff
After V1
Thrust Levers………………………………..TOGA
Reaching VR………………………………….. Rotate
SRS orders…………………………………….. Follow
*If necessary pull the sidestick fully back
*If FD bars are not displayed pitch +17.5 deg then if necessary, to prevent a loss in altitude, increase the pitch attitude.
Windshear warning (Reactive Windshear)
(Airborne, initial climb or landing)
Airborne, initial climb or landing
THR Levers at TOGA………………………. Set or confirm
AP (if engaged)………………………………. Keep on
SRS orders……………………………………. Follow
*If necessary pull the sidestick fully back
Note:
1.Autopilot disengages if the AOA goes above aprot
2.If FD bars are not displayed pitch +17.5 deg then if necessary, to
prevent a loss in altitude, and increase the pitch attitude.
DO NOT CHANGE CONFIGURATION UNTIL OUT OF WINDSHEAR.
CLOSELY MONITOR FLIGHT PATH AND SPEED.
REOVER SMOOTHLY TO NORMAL CLIMB OUT OF WINDSHEAR
One engine standard strategy
Windshear warning (Predictive windshear)
1. Takeoff after V1 (approach and go-around included)
Thrust levers……………………………………………….. TOGA
SRS orders…………………………………………………. Follow
*If necessary Sidestick fully back.
*FD bars are not displayed
-pitch 17.5 deg
-if necessary, to prevent a loss in ALT, increase the pitch attitude
*If AP is engaged
-Keep on
*AP disengages if AOA goes above aPROT
*Monitor Flight path, speed, and the speed trend
Windshear warning (Predictive windshear)
YOU CAN DISREGARD PREDICTIVE W/S IF?
- There are no other signs of possible windshear conditions
- The reactive windshear system is operational.
Windshear warning (Predictive windshear)
Takeoff
If predictive windshear detects a windshear or windshear is suspected,
takeoff……………………………………………………….. Delay
conditions…………………………………………………… Evaluate
*use their observations and experience
*check the weather conditions
RW…………………………………………………………….. Select preferred runway
Windshear warning (Predictive windshear)
During takeoff roll (warning)
Captain………………………………………………………. Reject takeoff
Windshear warning (Predictive windshear)
During takeoff roll (caution)
*it is the decision of the captain according to the captain’s situation assessment to either;
Captain……………………………………………….. Continue with takeoff (TOGA)
Captain……………………………………………….. Reject takeoff.
Windshear warning (Predictive windshear)
During initial climb
Thrust levers………………………………………… TOGA
*Closely monitor the speed and the speed trend
*Ensure the flight path does not include areas with suspected windshear
Configuration………………………………………… Change as needed
*provided that the aircraft does not enter windshear
Windshear warning (Predictive windshear)
Reactive windshear or windshear detected by flight crew observation
(Before/After V1)
Before V1
Captian………………………………………………….. Reject takeoff
After V1
Thrust levers…………………………………………… TOGA
*Flight crew must pay attention to the following
- DO NOT CHANGE CONFIGURATION until the aircraft is out of windshear
SRS Orders……………………………………………… Follow
*Consider pulling fully backstick, if necessary, to minimize height loss
*PM should call to the wind variations from the ND and the V/S and, when clear of the windshear, report the encounter to ATC
