A
  • Can assess specific components of physical health (aerobic/anaerobic etc.)
  • ID’s strengths and weaknesses
  • Gather data for exercise prescription
  • Provides baseline results in case of injury/relapse

What is negligence and how can it occur?

A

Negligence is careless conduct by the QEP (qualified exercise professional)

The QEP fails to do something that reasonable professional would have done
OR
doing something that a reasonable professional would not have done in the first place

What is a “standard of care”?

A

The standard of care for a QEP is to provide reasonably safe programs and services for their clients.

Reasonably safe means taking precautions to prevent foreseeable health risks.
