A
- Articulate certification, SOP, education and how you CAN & CANNOT help them.
- Highlights costs/payment methods
- Schedule initial consult
- Collect pre-participation consent and screening

Why would someone need a physical assessment done?
A
- Can assess specific components of physical health (aerobic/anaerobic etc.)
- ID’s strengths and weaknesses
- Gather data for exercise prescription
- Provides baseline results in case of injury/relapse
- Helps set realistic/attainable goals
- Determines effectiveness of training program
- Education
- Team selection

- High risk/ contraindicated exercises

What is negligence and how can it occur?
A
Negligence is careless conduct by the QEP (qualified exercise professional)
The QEP fails to do something that reasonable professional would have done
OR
doing something that a reasonable professional would not have done in the first place

What is a “standard of care”?
A
The standard of care for a QEP is to provide reasonably safe programs and services for their clients.
Reasonably safe means taking precautions to prevent foreseeable health risks.
