Briefly outline the Continuing Education Requirement set out in the Professional
Governance Act
-Complete this year’s Mandatory Regulatory Module
-Record 1 CE Hour of ethical learning in the CE Reporting System
-Complete a CE Plan and Practice-Risk Assessment; and
-Submit a declaration confirming all CE requirements have been completed between May 1 and June 30.
In each 3-year rolling period, professional registrants must:
-Record 60 CE Hours of activities (20 hours/year on average); and
-Designated Structural Engineers must record an additional 60 CE Hours of technical learning related to their structural engineering practice for a total of 120 CE Hours.
-It is mandatory for all professional registrants
Non-practising or retired registrants
-must complete at least Ihour of CE in each 3-year rolling period in areas of Ethical
Leaming and Regulatory Learning.

What is the extent of the regulation of firms set out in the Professional Governance
All firms that engage in practice of professional engineering are required to register for Permit to Practice with EGBC and renew this annually
Must have Professional Practice Management Plan (PPMP)
Regulation of firms based on three pillars which allow firms to develop their own
policies/procedures adapted to firms needs
