1. This publication only applies to Warrant Officers in the Army National Guard.

What is Regular Army integration?
WO1 on the active duty list (ADL) will automatically be integrated into the regular Army after completion of two years on the active-duty list. Must either except regular army or separate from active duty After completing any active duty service obligation.
How long can CW2s and CW3s continue to serve?
If not selectively retired, they may be retained until 30 years as a warrant officer, 30 years total active federal service, or age 62, whichever occurs first.
How long can CW4s and CW5s service?
If not selectively retired, they may be retained until 30 years as a warrant officer, 30 years total active federal service, or age 62, whichever occurs first.
Active Duty Service Obligations
- Appointment – six years after completion of WOBC.
- Promotion to CW 3/4/5 – two years from promotion.
- Degree completion/advanced civil schooling/civilian school/permissive TDY/training with industry – three days for each day of school.
- Overseas Assignment – date established for return from overseas (DEROS).
- CONUS assignment – one year from assignment.

- Entry: WOBC at your proponent school.
