Not exceeding 30 days from the date the order is made.

Approval to apply for Production order given by district approver must take these matters into account?

• the grounds for applying are met.
• the resource benefit to Police and that the offence is serious enough to justify.
• the information sought is not unreasonable for the company to provide.

Question 3

Grounds for applying for a PO

Answer 3

• RGTS that an offence punishable by imprisonment has been, is being or will be committed.
• the documents constitute evidential material of the offence.
• are in possession of the person/organisation against whom the order is issued.

Question 4

You may use hearsay evidence evidence within the PO if:

• it is highly reliable with sufficient information.
• the past reliability of the informant.
• whether the information has been corroborated.
