stacking wood outside / inside sheds allowing air to circulate around it

done in heated chamber with fans to circulate air

conditions need to be carefully controlled to avoid wood drying too quickly and damaging wood
what is CHIPBOARD made from?
mixture of dried wood chips / shavings / sawdust
materials often from discarded or waste material from another process
what is added to wood mixtures and what is the process?
glue - urea formaldehyde
heated / pressed into sheets / left to dry
summarise stages of plywood production
- wood softened
- thin sheet is peeled off it then cut to suitable size and dried
- put into stacks
- glue added between layers then sheets heated and pressed
