A

Sourced from select hillside estates, the Cabernet Sauvignon wines of Bond vividly demonstrate the range of Napa Valley’s finest terroirs. From the more than sixty vineyards they have worked with over the past quarter century they have slowly and vigilantly selected five sites.

By the way of this valuable experience they had the opportunity to identify select properties that they felt had the potential to define the “Grand Crus” of Napa Valley. These small, hillside Cabernet vineyards, ranging in size from7 to 11 acres became the basis for the wines of Bond.

Ray and Justin had a bold and unconventional vision for their winery. What’s more, their wine would be a new style of Cabernet Sauvignon, rich and complex, deliciously drinkable from the day it was released, yet worthy of cellaring for years to come. To achieve this end they committed to an extensive aging program of approximately 25 months in American Oak barrels, and 15- 20 months of cellaring in bottle

Justin sold his share of Silver Oak back to the Duncan Family in 2001

Around this time, the family started Twomey Cellars to concentrate on vineyard driven wines
