surgical connection between two structures. It usually means a connection that is created between tubular structures, such as blood vessels or loops of intestine

enlargement of the prostate gland caused by a benign overgrowth of chiefly glandular tissue
benign prostatic hypertrophy
A benign (not cancer) condition in which an overgrowth of prostate tissue pushes against the urethra and the bladder, blocking the flow of urine
biopsy
The removal of cells or tissues for examination by a pathologist.
bronchoscopy
an endoscopic technique of visualizing the inside of the airways for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. An instrument (bronchoscope) is inserted into the airways, usually through the nose or mouth, or occasionally through a tracheostomy.
blunt dissection
careful separation of tissues along tissue planes by either fingers or convenient blunt instruments during many diverse surgical procedures
