Compacted snow/ice does not affect T/O but does affect braking.

T/O Brief

A

Up to 100kts we will stop for any serious malfunction and consider vacating the runway at a suitable exit. Between 100kts and V1 we will stop for any Engine or F/CTL ECAM or any other serious malfunction that could prevent us from going airborne. If the decision is to stop you will take control and take the aircraft to a stop by thrust idle, checking max autobrake function or manual braking and max reverser. I will monitor your actions, call rev green, decel and notify ATC. After the parking brake is set, we will action the ECAM. If you call go or a malfunction happens after V1, we will go airborne. No actions will be done below 400ft AGL except raising the gear and cancelling warnings. After 400ft AGL we will action the ECAM under my command. TOGA thrust and Auto pilot are available.
