Some events are more likely to happen than others.
Events can be:
- Certain
- Likely
- Unlikely
- Impossible
Q. What is the likelihood of you having flu in your lifetime?
A. It is very likely that you will have flu in your lifetime.
Q. What are the chances that the Sun will shine all day?
A. Impossible.
Q. What is the likelihood of seeing a flying saucer?
A. It is unlikely you will see a flying saucer, although some people claim to have one!
Q. What is the likelihood of a baby being a boy or a girl?
A. It is certain that a baby will be a boy or a girl.
