estimating probabilities ( also called relative frequency)
formula = mo. of times the event occurs / total number of times you carried out the event e.g
expected frequency of an evnt
formula= probability of event x number of experiments
fair or biased
method = work out estimated probability
work out actual probability compare answers if big difference biased
