When the government is influenced by the people. Ex. Voting

A
The government has boundaries on what they’re allowed to do. The limits are in the Constitution.

A
The government is separated into 3 branches: legislative, executive and judicial.

Checks and Balances
A
Each branch keeps each other accountable to make sure that no one has more power than the other. They have the right to say no.

A
Supreme Courts interprets on whether anything is unconstitutional. Involving the Supreme Court

A
A system in which power is divided between the national and state governments.
