A
fluids
heat loss: warm blanket
drugs: check

A
cardiovascular disease chest x ray elderly: confusion hypoatraemia: low sodium immobility: so need good nursing

stop smoking 4 weeks prior to surgery
pre and post op physiotherapy
increased risk of MI so avoid HYPOXIA
