No, themes require tailoring and not everything has to fit by the letter.
What is the main question addressed by the Business Case theme?
Why are we doing this project?
How many stages are there to develop a good business case?
There are 4 stages: Develop, Verify, Maintain, and Confirm.
What does the ‘Develop’ stage entail in the business case?
It’s about getting the right information. While anyone can write the business case, it’s usually done by the project executive.
When is the benefits management approach created and what is its purpose?
It’s created in the project initiation stage and outlines how benefits will be measured during the project.
What are the main components of the Organisation theme?
Defined roles & responsibilities, managing by exception, and stakeholders.
What are the key components to consider in the Quality theme?
Quality expectations, acceptance criteria, project product descriptions, quality management approach, product descriptions, quality register, quality and approval records, and acceptance records.
What constitutes the Plans theme?
It includes the project plan, multiple stage plans, team plans, and the exception plan. The process includes Design, Define products, Activities & dependencies, Prepare estimates, Prepare the schedule, and Documents, with risk analysis throughout all stages.
What is the primary concern of the Risk theme?
Assessing “What might happen?”
Which components provide an overview of the Risk theme?
Risk management approach, risk budget, and risk register.
What is the purpose of the Change theme?
To identify, assess, and control changes.
How many aspects are there in the change process?
There are 5 different aspects: Capture, Examine, Propose, Decide, and Implement.
What is the focus of the Progress theme?
Checking and controlling various aspects like delegating authority, authorising stages, producing time and event-driven reports, and raising exceptions.
