When is breast examination done?
1 week after menses
Characterized by a discreet disk of palpable gladular tissue under the nipple Areolar complex
True gynecomastia
Characterized by more diffuse, bilateral adiposity of the anterior chest wall
Pseudogynecomastia
What to do in gynecomastia?
- observe
- if persistent after 6 months, rule out other causes
What test is used to check for scoliosis and kyphosis?
Adam’s test
Forward leaning test
What Screening tests are done for adolescents?
CBC: Hgb U/A TB work up if at risk - ask if there are family members taking meds STI - annually for sexually active Pap smear at 21 yo Visual screening
Depression screening done at?
12 years old and above
Pregnancy test is done if what vaccines are given?
- live attenuated vaccines: Varicella and rubella
Vaccination: HEP B
- unvaccinated 7-18 years old
- 3 doses (0,1,6 months)
- IM
Vaccination: HEP A
- unvaccinated 7-18 years old
- 2 doses
- 2nd dose given at least 6 months from 1st dose
- IM
Vaccination: MMR
- unvaccinated 7-18 years old

- 4 weeks interval between doses
