stage 2
full thickness, deep crater. Necrosis of subcutaneous tissue that may extend to underlying fascia
stage 3
tissue necrosis, damage to bone, muscle and/or supproting structures
stage 4
treatment stage1 and 2
clean and apply protective, transparent dressing
treatment stage 3 and 4
prolonged and expensive treatment by irrigation, debriedment of necrotic tissue, healing by secondary intention or surgical closure
