Q

Why do molecules in a gas exert pressure on the walls of the container
How does temperature increase pressure

A

The molecules in the gas have a random motion and when they collide with the walls of the container they exert a force and hence a pressure
As temperature increases, the particles gain more kinetic energy and move faster (the average kinetic energy increases), colliding with the walls of the container more frequently
