Preservation of Amputated Parts Flashcards

Q
Introduction
A
When a part of the body is completely avulsed (torn off) or amputated (cut off) it is important to try and preserve the amputated part in optimal condition to maximize the chances of successful reattachment.
Once the pt’s injs have been stabilized, turn your attention to the amputated part, which will also require careful care
